The works on paper are used as an arena to explore and experiment. I love the freedom that this enables and find that often this generates interesting and exciting results.

For this piece, I was inspired by some of the late studies of storms over the sea by John Constable. Fat, continuous, heavy brushstrokes that convey the dynamism and power of nature and our existence within it.
