Like the others in this colour series, I was most interested in capturing some sort of dynamic movement through a single brushstroke to generate a sense of energy. The manipulated colours have a basis in reality, but are intensified.
There is some essence of the forms & colours of the American West that inspired my during my visit there in 2014, but this is an imaginary landscape where sky melts into earth in a melting pot of the elements.
