Wheatfields
‘Wheatfields’ is an abstract oil painting on 2 sheets of Acrylic Perspex, one of which is smoked blue. Having moved to the countryside from London, one of the most striking changes was the sense of space and the changing natural environment and this piece intends to convey that sense of the wind zipping through the landscape.
It has been created by applying paint using squeegees and rollers. In my work I’m constantly exploring different application tools and techniques which help convey different physicality of textures.
Framed dimensions 68cm x 103cm
