Field Trip
‘Field Trip’ is an evocation of the rapidly effects of changing light at dusk with some of the colours still resonating through the emerging darkness.
The impasto slaps of paint are both physical as well as illusionistic. The painting consists of a layer of acrylic Perspex placed on top of a background panel to create a physical space between the layers and thereby has a three dimensional effect between foreground and background as you move around the painting.
