Confluence
‘Confluence’ is an abstract oil painting on 3 sheets of acrylic Perspex inspired by time spent exploring Cornwall's Whitsand Bay. This one has shimmering depths with grains of golden metallic paint capturing the light like sparkling sand. I utilised experimental application techniques of dripping, splashing, pouring and seeping to simulate the movement of elements on the beach with the erosion of the rock feeding back into the sea that then condenses to create the weather that creates the erosion in nature’s amazing cycle.
Framed 88cm x 108cm
