Watercolour pencil, ink and chalk emulsion on paper. 102cm x 72cm
A detailed figurative drawing of the natural elements of a cliff face on the rocky shoreline at Chale Bay on the Isle of Wight. The brown and rusty sodden earth mixed with the rock collapses onto the beach mixed with large boulders of chalk deposited as depicted in the yellow stained graffitied white mass. A perfect small white pebble has been placed on top of it by human hand. The absence of a horizon creates a flattened abstracted effect.
